Down Syndrome Awareness Month – A Time to Fly

When we open our eyes and look around, we see all types. Not long ago, we hid the different and found a backroom to put our challenges in. When we open doors, we become aware. We see. In this month, we create a voice to share stories, photographs, and resources to understand more about Down syndrome. Here’s a list of great sites to LIKE and FOLLOW that focus on opening doors for those with disabilities.

NDSS – National Down Syndrome Society – keeping up to speed on information for Down syndrome.

World Down Syndrome Congress: “Down Syndrome International (DSi) is a UK based international charity, comprising a membership of individuals and organisations from all over the world, committed to improving quality of life for people with Down syndrome worldwide and promoting their inherent right to be accepted and included as valued and equal members of their communitie.”

Down Syndrome Education International – working to improve early intervention and education for children with Down syndrome worldwide.
